YLI and America’s Mock Election Results Show!

The Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) has announced the winners of its 2016 National Mock Election. Polls were opened to the students of over fifty-thousand registered teachers from October 17th- 27th. As polls closed on the 27th, Meg Heubeck, Director of the Youth Leadership Initiative, travelled to Washington, D.C. to deliver the results to the set of America's Mock Election and its election results show. Gerard Ferri, executive director of America’s Mock Election, produced an hour long results program highlighting the YLI mock election.

The results show can now be viewed. Highlights include results by state in alphabetical order, discussion of the importance of civic engagement, the history of voting rights, and upcoming events from AME, YLI, ConSource, and other partners. We would like to thank the over seventy-thousand registered educators and their millions of students for participating in YLI programs such as the mock election. Together, we are making a difference!

Thanks to America's Mock Election and especially John Herklotz for highlighting the YLI 2016 National Mock Election!
